    We stayed at Podere Il Caggio for five days in July 2010, and couldn't have been happier with our vacation. The location is absolutely gorgeous, with the most beautiful views surrounding this very tradition, rustic Italian farmhouse. Our room was perfect; very generous, clean with nice interior and everything we needed to make our vacation fantastic. It is great to have the possibility to cook in the apartment, something we enjoyed a lot. The bathroom and showers were fresh and clean. It is a peaceful place, with very friendly and helpful staff, even though it was difficult to find them on the property sometimes, but that was a minor issue. The pool is great, and we loved the idea of being able to buy things from the wine cellar in the basement. It takes about 10min to drive into San Gimignano or to the local grocery store. We had a rental car, and a car is a must to get around in the area. All in all- one of the best vacations of our lives and we are planning on returning soon! Highly recommended...

    Maybe at the gate, there should be a sign saying "Please ring xx bell for accommodation". Otherwise, 10 out of 10!! Beautiful gorgeous place, spotlessly clean, welcoming hosts. I will return!!

    The farmhouse is isolated, though not far from San Gimigniano and Volterra. The access is a bit difficult ( more than 1km on a bumpy and dusty non-asphalt road), but worth it, as you have a nice view and so much calm once there. We stayed in the little appartment, with a kitchenette and a big bathroom. The room had a private access, which is always good. The staff was welcoming and recommend some nice things to do in the region.
    I would have liked a breakfast to be served, as we only stayed one night and didn't have anything to make breakfast.

    la libertà di poter prendere il vino o acqua dallo stanzino con pagamento alla fine del soggiorno molto bello come struttura e nulla da dire sulla pulizia
    un po' di ragni grandi nelle zone dove sporge il legno e un pagamento supplementare del riscaldamento di €15 non descritto sulla descrizione del soggiorno

    la zona è unica
    non tanto la pulizia
    ma l'avere acceso il riscaldamento all'ultimo secondo
    ci ha fatto "patire" un pò di freddo
    e una volta scaldato l'ambiente si sono svegliate 47 mosche............
    P.S. non avevo voglia di rispondere

    In primis, i posti sono da favola,e poi la cultura veramente notevole,con artisti eccezionali

    Il prezzo non è male...la strada di collegamento tra l'agriturismo e San Geminiano è molto bella specie se fatta verso quest'ultimo....l'agriturismo è immerso nel verde...
    La strada di accesso all'agriturismo è piena di buche. Serve un po' di manutenzione.
    Il bagno è senza bidè.

    Everything worked out very well for us. It is a great location to venture out into Tuscany and see many medieval villages and towns. We liked the location, it was quiet, very comfortable and serene.
    Since there is not an oven, they might consider a microwave.

    la tranquillità della posizione. per contro c'è da segnalare la strada sterrata per gli ultimi due km. molto scomoda

    le pulizie dell'appartamento, la pascina nonostante tutti gli insetti dentro!
    all'interno dell'appartamento non c'era proprio aria in più c'era la mansarda , necessario mettere l'aria condizionata , è soffocante, in più non c'era nemeno la zanzariera alla finestra della camera e non si poteva lasciare la finestra apperta in quanto siamo stati invasi di animaletti/insetti (tanti) che ci facevano compagnia soppratutto la notte. E stato veramente questo il punto nero del soggiorno.

    mi e' piaciuto l'arreddamento dell'appartamento e la piscina. comunque tutto il complesso era molto piacevole.
    l'unico aspetto negativo era che non c'erano tante persone giovani ma piu' famiglie con bambini

    The staff was very helpful. Thank you for the rides into town!
    We were in an upstairs room and it was uncomfortably hot. Despite the fact that the windows were open there seemed to be no breeze coming through the room. It was difficult to sleep and this actually caused us to checkout a day early.
    Also, the couple living downstairs in the corner apt were watching TV outside on the patio under our window very loudly. After midnight, I finally went down and asked them how long they planned to be out there.

    We had a very nice stay. The surrundings and the pool area were beautiful and the room was nice with a fairly well equiped kitchen. The owner was friendly.
    The small sand road to the farm was a bit bumpy and I was glad I didn't drive my own car.

    Good location and nice swimming pool.
    On the website its says that the rooms face the swimming pool and garden, but our room did not. It was on the other side of the house and we just had views of a field. We were also surprised that we had to pay cash for the room - as they did not accept any credit cards. We had to supply breakfast ourselves. It was our fault for not realising it beforehand, but it could've been made clearer on the website. Our room was not as nice as in the photos and was very dark and a bit gloomy. Maybe the rooms facing the swimming pool are better. Room was very hot (even in June), but no fan or air-con available. Bed linen was provided, but we had to make up our own beds. No pool towels provided. We had to take our own rubbish away. Not so much a B&B, more a DIY. Maybe better value could be had locally.
