    Our accommodation was very clean and the rooms were spacious with modern bathrooms. There was a large comfortable living room for the guests.The breakfasts were very good and substantial. Our hostess was really lovely and she spoke fluent English. She was very helpful in that she spent some time advising us on where we should go and what we should see. En route to Italy a bottle of brandy broke in our son's luggage and our hostess happily washed and dried all his clothes.She also left tea and coffee in the living room so that we could help ourselves during the day/evening. Casa Pini also has newly built selfcontained units which looked very nice which we would request if we were to visit again. We highly recommend Casa Pini.

    El entorno donde se encuentra la casa, aunque está algo aislado. Nos dieron una habitación amplia, con cocina y salida al jardín.
    Pese a que la habitación estaba muy limpia, había un olor extraño y desagradable que no pudimos saber de donde provenía.

    Michele and her father were extreemely nice. There was a problem with the room. We ordered two rooms but the nice family that stayed in one of them could not leave so we got a room with 5 beds which was a little inconvenient but we mannaged . And they appologized for it all the time and reduced the price. We only stayed one night so it did not bother us too much.

    Il posto è molto tranquillo e dotato di tutte le comodità (parcheggio coperto, camere fresche e l'arredamento è nuovo). La signora è molto gentile e dà a tutti delle preziose informazioni. La colazione è ottima!

    Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und auch zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Badezimmer musste mit drei anderen Zimmern geteilt werden, was aber nicht gestört hat. Es gab keine Wartezeiten. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Die Informationen, welche wir über mögliche Aktivitäten bekommen haben, waren sehr hilfreich. Da erspart man sich den Weg zum Touristenbüro:-)

    A nice big room and a very kind hostess.
    It was rather cold in the room, we had t use the same towells for 4 days, and they did not dry, because of the lack of heating.
    In the photo's and the information, it was not clear that the location was quite a walk uphill.

    La signora che gestisce il B&B è di una gentilezza unica, oltre che un'ottima colazione ci ha fornito delle indicazioni turistiche molto utili e precise. I letti erano comodissimi e la posizione è perfetta avendo lo scalo dei traghetti a meno di 3 minuti di macchina.

    Un accueil chaleureux dans un site exceptionnel. La maison est très bien agencée, des chambres se trouvent au rez- de - chaussée, pratiques pour les gens à mobilité réduite, ainsi que la salle à manger pour le petit déjuener copieux et varié. Le salon est à disposition et la maitresse de maison, parfaitement polyglote,vous renseigne avec gentillessse et compétence sur les zones touristiques.     The place is satisfactory, in a quiet surrounding, close to the lake, but the person in-charge, specifically Michella, is more than helpful, warm, and did more to help than we could ever expect! We strongly recommend the place!

    Great location, clean rooms, comfortable bed, good price, and a gracious host. A short ferry ride to Bellagio and the other beautiful towns of Lake Como. The breakfast was incredibly good, with a lot of selection. Michaela was also extremely helpful and accommodating.
    Our room was quite cold as the radiators turn off when they get too hot. Also, they are renovating the bed and breakfast, and the work was occuring directly outside our bedroom window -- and they started at 8am! Thankfully we just needed a place to lay our head, but the noise was certainly not pleasant.

    We stayed at Casa Pini during the off peak season in late December and thus had the advantage of not having to deal with a lot of the tourists that come during the peak season. Michela was just wonderful, generous and very accommodating. Our rooms and bathrooms were excellent and of a good size. It was a good walk down the hill to the ferry and shops which were not far from the B&B. The scenery, naturally is just beautiful. We would be more than happy to return to Casa Pini at Griante and recommend it to anyone wanting to stay around the Lake Como region.
    Nothing really. Whilst this doesn't have anything to do with the B&B, I wish the Summer Cruises that are available during the summer peak times were available to us in the off peak season. It would've been so nice to cruise the lake on the day we were there as the day was cool, but it was just ideal & perfect for that type of cruise. We caught the ferry to Belagio though and that was delightful.

    owner was always happy to help you regarding trips, prices, bus ferry times etc. Very friendly
    sharing a bathroom, the water was often cold luke warm when having a shower.

    location - it is a little out of the way, and after going out for the night we would have to walk up the hill in the dark to get back, also by prepared to be awaken by the church bells every hour on the hour! however other than that it was in a really nice quiet area, just be prepared to walk

    Die Vermieterin, wie die ganze Familie waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sie haben sich sehr um uns bemüht. Für Ausflüge erhielten wir entsprechend Tipps, Infos, sowie Prospektmaterial. Das Frühstück vielseitig und absolut gut.
    Das Bad mußte mit anderen Gästen geteilt werden.

    Casa Pini is a good place to stay for one or more days. We want to stay for more days after our holidays, but in that case the owner promised me to send me a SMS or telephone call. After I have tried three times to call the owner, I stopped, and tried to get another possibility.

    It was a lovely place to stay and from which to base day trips. The walk up the steps from the main road and bus line was lovely and breathtaking (both in its beauty and the number of steps required). We liked the small village and the personal warmth of the people. The staff were extremely helpful in assisting with bus and train schedules and providing information about the area sites and things to do. They also provided help with booking further accommodations after we left Griante. We loved being able to open the window, listen to the nearby church bells ring the hour, and let the cool mountain air fill the room.
    When the B&B was full, there was a shortage of hot water in the shower. Breakfast was adequate but became a little boring after a week. The restaurants closed from mid-afternoon until 7:00 pm. Wireless internet is not provided.

    We stayed from 26.03.09 till 04.04.09 The Casa situates in a good place, from where farries run to main villages which are worth visiting. There are buses in the area but be aware that in low-season there are few of them. From Como town it takes apprx. 50 minutes by bus. Last bus leaves at 20-30 and taxies are too expensive (70 euro for taxi vs 8 euro by bus). In any case write / call Casa's master Michaela, who is realy very nice and helpfull. She will describe you the current situation with buses, weather etc. We were lucky as there were no bells when we stayed (FYI it's not a person who himself rings the bells, but it is done automatically). So on my opinion it's not worth heaingr them every half an hour. Take an advantage of the vilage to have a few hikings in it and surroundings. It is very cosy and picturesque. There are villas of famous people situated in this village.
    There were few misunderstanding with beds ( we wanted two twins, but when we arrived late at night we had to stay in a double) But this was corrected next day and we enjoyed twin bed room the whole holiday.
    Also if you need some knives, folks and cups - don't forget to ask about what exactly you need
    The weather was mostly rainy when we stayed in the spring . 5 days out 9 was raining.

    The staff was exceptionally helpful and gave excellent advise on where to go and how to get there. The room was clean and breakfast was good. Owner speaks English, Italian and German. We would stay here again.
    The room got a little cold at night.

    We visited in October 08 and had a wonderful time! Everything corresponds to the description and pictures seen here. Lake Como is stunning, and staying in Griante situates you perfectly to enjoy it to the fullest. Casa Pini was comfortable, accessible, and friendly. We were able to park our rental car out front and walk down to the ferry to go to Bellagio and Varenna. Our hostess was extremely helpful in assisting us with maps, ferry schedules, and ideas for what to see. Don't miss the view from San Martino above Griante, or the equally impressive view from Castle Vezio situated above Varenna across the lake.

    To share a bathroom that you need to use with other people.example, in the morning we didn't shower and quickley prepared ourselves to clear the bathroom for other people.

    Very friendly people. Comfort is basic, but clean and more than sufficient. Village and surroundings are nice. Breakfast is more than OK
    Regretfully, there is one huge disadvantage why we will never return to this B&B. Unless you are deaf or have extremely performant earplugs, a quality sleep is out of question: each half hour/ hour the bells of the nearby church indicate the time...

    Breakfast was very good and she knew al lot information about the place!

    The owner and her mother were very helpful in helping us plan meaningful thing to do during our stay. The breakfast was great.
    This was the only stay during our month travel where we didn't have a bathroom in our room. It was not a big deal to walk across the hall to the bathroom but I think people should know this fact. We had the bathroom to ourselves by the way.

    the owner picked us up late @ noc @ the ferry station because there was no taxi available. the owner gave us maps and tips to tourist spots. lago di como is gorgeous !!!

    Excellent place to stay, nice to have the freedom to come and go as we pleased, veery comfortble bed and lovely breakfast. Ideal place to base yourself to explore Lake Como and the other towns.
