The location was ideal. 2 minutes from the Piazza del Campo. The view from our room was breathtaking. It was exactly what we needed for the Palio.

Perfect spot to stay in Siena. Beautiful view from atop the city (we had the attic/penthouse). Very clean; air conditioned; comfortable and roomy. Suggest taking a taxi. The bus from the train was difficult to find, and then confusing as to where to disembark. We got off somewhere in the city and took a cab. Thankful that we had as it would have been very difficult to pull our carry-on bags up the steep hills while trying to find the place and it has no sign to tell you it is the place. Once there, however, it is easy to find again. Laundry facilities were appreciated. (But it takes 2+ hrs to run a load of wash.) Would definitely stay again and will recommend to others.

Simonetta answered the phone but apparently stays off premises while she lets her apt. We were met by an assistant who did not speak English or Italian so communication was a bit of a problem. He did help carry our bags up the 4 long flights of stairs however.
There is no breakfast - but kitchen facilities are available. Only one set of keys for 4 adults.

La ubicacion es inmejorable

Hay muchas mentiras muy serias en la especificaciones, entre ellas la peor es que dice que tienen personal multilingue cuando nos recibio un joven que solo hablaba Albanes y rudimentos minimos de italiano. Simonetta no dio la cara, apenas pudimos hablar por telefono para quejarnos porque no habia Wifi, tampoco nos presto el internet que se supone habia disponible.
El desayuno existe pero consite en tostadas y productos industriales, nada fresco y lo peor es que te dejan todo tirado en la habitacion, el joven que te recibe como dije solo habla Albanes, apenas nos pudo mostrar como funcionaba la cafetera automatica, nadie te sirve nada y para colmo como nuestra estadia fue de dos noches para la segunda maniana ya nos faltaban muchas cosas del desayuno que nadie repuso.
Tambien dice en la pagina que hay servicio de reordenamiento de cuarto y cambio de ropa, incluso cambio de ropa extra, pero nadie lo hizo ni dieron explicaciones (no podrian darlas tampoco porque solo una vez un encargado que hablaba italiano se hizo presente)
El lugar esta bien pero la habitacion Suite, supuestamente para 4 esta dividida por una cortina!! Es grande y con una vista muy muy bonita pero falta totalmente privacidad. Hay que subir varias escaleras y abrir puertas pero las bombillas de luz estaban quemadas y a la noche esto complicaba la llegada.

The greatest aspect of the Simonetta apartment is the location. A mere two-minute walk from both the Duomo and Il Campo, it is a perfect place to stay for convenience. Our room was small, yet clean and comfortable, with an easy-to-use shower and consistent water temperature.

We would advise anyone interested in renting here to remember that this apartment is easy to find, but on an unmarked street. Piazzeta Bonelli is so small that most Siena maps do not list it. If you follow Via de Pellegrini, it is the first left, coming from Il Campo.
In contrast to the great location, the six flights of stairs up to the flat is a bit of a climb. Secondly, those interested in renting here should clearly understand that the rooms rented here are apart of a larger house-- We essentially stayed in the guest room, while a family was living in the rest of the house. Though we never experienced trouble such as noise, this fact was not clearly explained in the apartment description.

Our host Enrique was wonderful - very eager to assist in any way possible. Apartment is absolutely beautiful and elegant. Bedroom was roomy and bed was wonderful. Bath was well appointed. Great to have kitchen privileges - mostly ate in. Also clothes washer and dryer. Steps to Duomo and Il Campo. Highlight of our 4-weeks in Italy. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay - our mini-palazzo.

'Mr Enrique', the Columbian 'manager' for Sra Simonetta. He managed to solve the major problem detailed below, reallocating us to more appropriate accomodation. He is very courteous, efficient, informative and helpful. The new accomodation.

We had booked for two adults and a nine year old female child and had been given a double room with a 'cama matrimoniale'. We had understood there was a sofa bed in the room for the child. However, the only sofa bed is in the communal lounge and since there were other guests who were mainly male, the option was niether appropriate nor acceptable to consider such an option. It was also not what we had booked. Whilst the new accomodation was excellent, the promised Internet connection, satellite TV and breakfast were non-existant.

Ripetutamente un addetto fin dal giorno precedente l'arrivo mi telefonava per sapere l'orario esatto di arrivo cosa inaccettabile poichè dal momento che la camera era prenotata e pagata anticipatamente stava alla titolare aspettare il cliente e non il cliente a dover sottostare ai loro assurdi orari inoltre ho dovuto fare diverse telefonate perchè è veramente scomoda da raggiungere.
Inoltre non specifica che è un terzo piano senza ascensore.
Muffa nelle pareti del bagno sopra la vasca ( documentabili con foto )
La colazione consiste in un buono per una pasta e un cappuccino ( euro 2,20 a fronte di un pagamento di 5 euro ) da consumarsi in un bar nemmeno tanto vicino alla struttura , e di certo non puoi andarci in pigiama quindi sei costretto a vestirti e a farti le 4 rampe di scale per poterla fare ! Consiglierei di curare di più l'ospite e di fare anche il BREAKFAST non solo il BED.

Weekend splendido. Siamo arrivati sabato a Siena verso le dieci. Un bel giorno per la città (piazza del campo) e poi all'una ci hanno dato la camera. La camera che ci dovevano dare è molto bella e si affacciava a piazza duomo, purtroppo per noi facevano la festa della contrada e ci hanno spostato in un altro appartamento altrettatto bello e confortevole, con salotto e cucina. Lo consiglio per chi vuole fare una vacanza in questa bella città

L'unica cosa è che forse ci potevano avvertire prima dello spostamento di camera, però tutto risolto con gentilezza e disponibilità quindi va bene così.

la stanza è molto particolare con una vista molto romantica dei tetti e monumenti di Siena.

è andato tutto bene ma forse indicherei nella descrizione della stanza che per accedere alla stessa bisogna salire due rampe di scale che per noi non hanno rappresentato un problema ma per altri potrebbe non essere così.

Wonderful home cooked hot breakfasts were served each morning. Apartment well equiped with full kitchen dining and living areas as well as laundry.

Air conditioners and fans were just sufficient but we were experiencing 35 degree days. If coming by car, need more information as to how to drop luggage at the apartment as streets are extremely narrow and cars are banned from many of the streets inside the old town walls.

la infrastrutura e la pozicione, sono veramente buonissima, a 50 m del Duomo e la stanza da letto e bagno molto buona.

la colazione non existe, la persona encarregada de dare um bilhieto per andare a colazione non c'era ala matina. Lo horario de check in era finoa 17 ore, molto presto per i turisti che arrivano in treno de altra città. Io ho aspettato 1 ora la persona incaricada dello posto.

The owners are friendly and helpful. I was greeted with smiles and told where to get the best deals for restaurants and internet cafes. The room is private and there is very little noise in that part of town. All in all, a very comfortable stay. Thank you :)

The features and location of the Simonetta B&B are perfect for visitors to Siena and the surrounding Tuscany region. When you combine this with an enthusiastic and courteous host, Enrique, who is keen to share his love of his accommodation structures, city and community, you have the makings of an exceptional holiday. Our stay at Simonetta B&B in Siena was one of the highlights of our holiday and we would highly recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to visit the Tuscany region of Italy.

We would have preferred to stay longer at Simonetta in Siena and only do a day trip to Florence!

Il luogo è particularmente bello con un scenario magnifico di Siena. Il arredamento anche é bellissimo con mobili d'epoca. Molto confortto in tutti gli aspetti!

La prima colazione (in un caffè fuora il B&B) é povere si comparatto con altri B&B!

L'accoglienza di Enrico e la sua estrema gentilezza ci ha quasi commosso.

Prenotando e successivamente pagando 100 Euro a camera ero convinta che entrambi avessero il bagno in camera, mentre solo uno aveva bagno in camera.

My stay at Simonetta was very pleasant and found Enrique very ready to help The general living area is very beautifully furnished and the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. Its was very nice having the kitchen available. It really is a stones throw from from the Campo and Bassillica and surprising quiet for the busy area. Be aware that to get the view over the rooftops there are stairs to be climbed. As I have found in many Italian buildings

We were pleased with the location - being close to the Compo and the center of town.

We were told that they would meet us at the gate to the city and takie us to the B&B since we were not allowed to drive into the city. We were not met and had to walk about a mile finding our way to the B&B where we were met by the proprieter. The apartment was five flights up and difficult to get to. After arguing for about a half hour, we were taken to our vehicle to pick up our luggage which had to then be carried five flights up. There was no breakfast. The location was extremely noisy with the surrounding buildings acting as an echo chamber. I cannot recommend this place to anyone over 40 years of age, nor to anyone who is not in good physical condition.

Mr. Enrique is a perfect, gracious host who goes out of his way to help his guests have a wonderful time in Siena - his warm welcome was greatly appreciated, as were his restaurant recommendations! The apartment has a terrific location but I think it should be listed under bed & breakfast rather than apartment. I would definitely return.

Io e mio marito abbiamo soggiornato nella mansarda di questo splendido palazzo trecentesco, è talmente bella che praticamente abbiamo trascorso lì ,affacciati sui tetti di Siena, la maggior parte della nostra vacanza . Mia madre era sistemata nella camera doppia dell'appartamento e ha potuto utilizzare insieme a noi i confortevoli spazi comuni, che ci hanno permesso di passare tanto tempo insieme con mio figlio che studia a Siena, proprio come era nei nostri desideri. Enrique , il gestore del B&B, ci ha accolto e seguito durante tutto il soggiorno con una disponibilità e una generosità veramente preziosa e insieme a lui abbiamo trascorso momenti molto piacevoli. Ogni piccolo inconveniente è stato da lui risolto con pazienza e simpatia, ci ha fatto vedere di Siena luoghi che non conoscevamo e ci ha aiutato a meglio organizzare il nostro soggiorno facilitandoci e mettendoci a disposizione tutto ciò di cui avevamo bisogno, penso che torneremo lì ogni volta che potremo.

Access to the kitchen and internet, a friendly host, clean accomodations

From the description I received ahead of time it was not at all clear that we would be sharing an apartment with others - though I realize this was a B&B, it sounded as if we were renting our own flat. So when we realized that three of us would be sharing one bedroom, the price no longer seemed fair.

Communication with staff was an enormous challenge - there seemed to be little understanding of English and we had equally little understanding of Italian

Das Zimmer und das Bad und die Kueche sind alle grossartig ausgestattet. Der Herbergsvater gab eine gruendliche Einfuehrung. Die Lage mitten zwischen Campo und Duomo koennte nicht zentraler sein und es gibt eine schoene Aussicht ueber die Stadt.

Das Gasthaus Simonetta war schwierig zu finden, da an der Klingel kein Schild angebracht war. Gluecklicherweise kam eine Bewohnerin des Hauses die uns die Aussentuer aufmachte und uns sagte in welche Etage wir zu gehen hatten.

The apartment was wonderful in that it is big, comfortable, clean, well maintained and very impressive in terms of furnishings. The location is perfect for Sienna in that it is right between the Duomo and Il Campo. The third floor location provides a lovely view of the city. The staff person helping us was very friendly, informed and helpful.

A wonderfully situated apartment minutes from Il Campo and the Duomo. I have stayed at hotels near Il Campo and the noise can sometimes keep you awake...not so with this apartment. It was so quiet it was hard to believe we were right in the center of everything. A beautiful apartment and the hospitality and amenities were among the best of my experience so far. The view from the penthouse apartment was wonderful day and night. If the Duomo wasn't being restored, that view would have been fabulous, also.

It would have been nice maybe to have a table with chairs in the front courtyard, but otherwise, there was nothing that wasn't satisfactory. You need to be comfortable sharing the two main rooms - kitchen and living room - with other visitors.

You couldn't ask for a better location and views! We were in the top floor apartment with windows all around, amazing! The manager Enrique was extremely helpful and friendly. Google the map location as it is difficult to locate the first time. We had a fridge in our apt and shared the main floor kitchen with the guests from the main floor apartment. It was social and great for us, however some might not expect or be comfortable with this. Couldn't ask for better!

We had a wonderful time in Siena, mostly because of where we were staying. We had booked our room separately from the group with which we travelled, and they were rather envious when they saw where we were staying, in comparison to where they were situated. The apartment is well-located, the kitchen is modern and Enrique (the host who can tell you just about everything you need to know about Siena) is friendly and helpful. Overall, it was money well spent and we plan to return in the future.

The "penthouse" apartment we stayed in is very conveniently located near the Campo and Duomo, and has lovely views of Siena. Our host, Enrique, welcomed us with a bottle of wine, and was very helpful (he speaks very little English). He even gave us a tour of an historic property in Siena. We also appreciated that he purchased a portable air conditioner for our unit which was on the fourth floor of the building (rather hot!). As for the apartment facilities, the kitchen, washing machine and clothes line (all shared with other residents) were very convenient for our family with children. The rental price of the apartment was also very reasonable.

Because the website described our lodgings as "an apartment", we expected to have more living room space as well as our own kitchen, but in reality, the kitchen was shared with other rooms (as it turns out, though, no one else seemed to use the kitchen during our stay). We would have also liked to have had a second set of keys for the apartment.

The Manager Enriquo was the ultimate host. He was extremely friendly, helpful and informative. The position of the apartment was ideal and the kitchen and facilities in the apartment were excellent.

We were totally satisfied. The only thing that could have been improved was if we could have stayed in Siena for a few more days.

Very convenient location, quiet and spacious apartment. Also important: contact person was reliable and solicitous. No problems contacting him in advance, meeting to get keys etc., and he checked in with us in the course of our stay to see that all was o.k. (see below)

Heat and hot water not working when we arrived -- BUT -- contact person did his best to offer alternatives and get both working as soon as possible, which was not easy given that it was a holiday weekend (Easter, including Monday).

Perfect services, with visit of an other apartment + cellars to show the History of Siena. Nice people, make you feel like home. Fantastic location

The location of the casa de vacanza is quite near the Piazza Del Campo, in the center of Siena, and near the Duomo (cathedral) as well. You can walk to any part of the city. There is a supermarket nearby where you can buy goods and food to prepare at home. The kitchen is available for use during the stay. It seems you are at home, only in a different location because you have all the facilities home provides. The inside decoration is very fancy. I definitely recommend it.

The only regret I had is that the administrator doesn´t speak English, so we had a real hard time trying to understand each other. He is aware of this drawback and assures he is going to work on this.

Ottima posizione. Appartamento molto tranquillo e carino. Enrique è molto gentile e disponibile. Dà ottime dritte. La prossima volta però prenoto la mansarda ... il massimo in tutto.
